On this occasion was announced the calendar of JUNIOR HOP events, a project about education and culture through sports, conducted exclusively for children, partially funded by the European Program ERASMUS + . At the press conference we had, as special guest, Mr. Sorin Mihai Cimpeanu, Minister of Education and Scientific Research, and also Monica Iagăr our great champion athlete. The actions of this project will involve large Romanian athletes regardless the sport they practice (football, gymnastics, handball, athletics, volleyball, rugby or even chess), that will all promote the importance of movement for children.
As part of the project JUNIOR HOP, between August 15 to September 5, we will make some actions in order to promote our event “The biggest hopscotch the world in number of participants”. These actions will take place in Bucharest in different areas (eg: large commercial centers). Through these actions we aim to promote the event on 12th September in Parc Cismigiu (we estimate a visibility of about 50,000 people in flashmoburi).
The Center for Creation, Art and Tradition – CREART (public service subordinated to the Bucharest Municipality), as supporter partner of the project JUNIOR HOP, will host the press conference on September 7, in which we will announce the opening of the European Week of Sport and we will announce the event on 12th September in Cismigiu Park – “The greatest hopscotch in the world in number of participants”.

Great athletes of Romania, together with junior champions will not only jump the BIGGEST HOPSCOTCH IN THE WORLD as number of participants, but, will also participate in through the artistic and sporting program – the first “Concert” of the Romanian sport!
All this to celebrate the European Week of Sport (September 7- 13).
Following the central event of the project – the world’s largest hopscotch in number of participants and the international seminar, we will make a short documentary that will capture best practices in junior sport domain in the 5 countries participating in the project and also a chronicle of all actions made during the JUNIOR HOP project.
„The Guide of movement” will be a first step toward improving teaching methods in sport among juniors, by encouraging young teachers to make the reform of teaching in Sport – Using the approach of using games in teaching and coaching. During our awareness campaigns and our international seminar we will collect recommendations to make teaching more centered on junior sport games for the personal development of juniors in a pleasant and harmonious way. „The Guide of movement” will be a book born from a collaboration of 5 partnering countries, together with universities, ministries and other public institutions. Through this public-private collaboration between the public-private domain, we will improve the quality of education in sports. We will try to lay the foundations of a strong collaborative partnership, to face great challenges such as childhood obesity and curriculum materials for junior sport, which is currently not according to their needs. On the long term, this collaborative partnership in sports, will develop common approaches and will provide comparable conditions in sports teaching in primary and secondary schools across Europe.
